The Work Foundation, a not-for-dividend public interest company, exists to inspire and deliver improvements to performance through improving the quality of working life. Formerly The Industrial Society (the name changed in April 2002) The Work Foundation is building on more than 80 years of tradition in its work to improve the quality of working life.

There are around 85 staff located in its Central London offices at Carlton House Terrace working across three business areas, Consultancy including specialist interventions on leadership and coaching , advocacy and research We also have an active membership of over 1200 organisations drawn from across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Mag Connolly, IT Manager : "As The Industrial Society the London based staff were used to dealing with a remote IT team. During our first year as The Work Foundation we unsuccessfully contracted out the helpdesk support function and had internal network support. When we teamed up with Challow we switched to an internal helpdesk with Challow providing second level and network support. Challow started with a network analysis and consolidation, standardised backup and security procedures and improved efficiency from remote users all of which has provided us with a sound foundation that is manageable and maintainable. Our user base has noticed a significant improvement in the entire IT service since Challow came on line.

Challow are as much part of our organisation as our previous internal IT team."
