Project Specification

Challow believes that the only true way to deliver a project of any signification is through a clear understanding of the business requirements and therefore, insists on conducting detailed Project Specifications before any projects commence.
This stage may include a proof of concept stage or test integration study to demonstrate to overall solution.

Conducting a Project Specification allows both the client and Challow to gain a clear understanding of the project requirements, deliverables, responsibilities, time line and level of support provided. Once a project specification is agreed, Challow provides a fixed cost, fixed deliverable that our clients can depend upon.

Project planning

Before any project can begin, Challow works with the client to define a Project Plan, based on the agreed Project Specification. As the project evolves, Challow’s project management ensures that the project delivers exactly what is included in the Project Specification.

Procurement

Should new or additional hardware or software be required, Challow will source the required hardware (as per the project specification) at competitive prices. When viewed as a total solution, single source supply and implementation has the ability to not only lower the total cost of ownership, but also has a very positive impact on the overall project completion.

Working with our Vendor Partners, Challow can negotiate preferential pricing and integrate a wealth of technical knowledge into the overall solution.

Implementation

Using the approved Project Specification as a base, Challow implements the project in accordance with the Project Plan. Our experience and straight forward approach to delivering network migrations ensure that when the end goal of a Project is reached, the solution does exactly what we agreed it would do.

Most implementations require some disruption to the network, which can be costly and frustrating if not managed well. Challow typically implements phased implementations that cut down on the amount of network disruption and limit disruptions to after hours or over weekends.

Should loan equipment be required, Challow is able to provide a broad selection of equipment to further ease the implementation. This is especially useful for implementations that use existing hardware.

Training

Ensuring that the internal IT staff fully understand the new environment is critical. Challow undertakes hands on Knowledge Transfer to ensure that staff have a practical, real world understanding of the new environment. Working along side your IT resource ensures technical visibility and understanding throughout the project.

In larger environments, formal user or support staff training may be required. If so, Challow can provide additional training resource. Through our partners, Challow can also provide theory based training, should it be required.

Support & Maintenance

A critical element in all of Challow’s services and solutions is our commitment to ensuring that business critical infrastructures are maintained and supported. Our Support and Maintenance services are the logical extension to any migration.

Challow provides between 15 and 20 working days support on all implementations, ensuring peace of mind.
